A principal finalidade desta pesquisa foi a de identificar os Fatores Críticos de Sucesso (FCS), sob a ótica dos proprietários, relacionados ao funcionamento das Lojas de Arte Floral (LAF), agente integrante do Comércio Varejista de Flores e Plantas ornamentais (CVFPO/RS) do Estado do Rio Grande do Sul. Buscou-se através da análise de informações sobre as suas peculiaridades, contribuir para uma melhor compreensão sobre o seu funcionamento e a sua articulação com os outros elos da cadeia. Para tanto, foi realizado um estudo exploratório em 35 empresas do CVFPO/RS, especificamente nas LAF localizadas no município de Porto Alegre, onde foi aplicado um instrumento de coleta de dados (questionário) diretamente aos proprietários das LAF. A CPFPO é composta pelos seguintes elos: Pesquisa e assistência técnica; Fornecimento de insumos e equipamentos; Produção agrícola; Atacado; Varejo e Consumidor Final. A ausência de um diagnóstico sobre o setor de flores acarreta, muitas vezes, uma ausência de políticas formais, uma incompreensão sobre a situação mercadológica e, também, uma ausência sobre o funcionamento de toda cadeia desse setor. Na presente pesquisa, o elo de Comercialização (varejo) foi o escolhido, devido à necessidade de uma melhor compreensão do CVFPO/RS, como também, pela inexistência de pesquisas acadêmicas e a disponibilidade escassa de dados e de informações relevantes para a sua análise no Estado. A partir da análise dos dados coletados, sob a ótica dos proprietários, os resultados da pesquisa apontaram para os seguintes FCS: atendimento de padrões de qualidade das flores; acompanhamento das necessidades do cliente; desenvolvimento dos Recursos Humanos atuantes nas LAF e, monitoramento da concorrência.

A maioria das empresas interage com seus clientes através de computadores. Com o passar do tempo está armazenado nos computadores um histórico da atividade da empresa que pode ser explorado para a melhoria do processo de tomada de decisões. Ferramentas de descoberta de conhecimento em bancos de dados exploram este histórico a fim de extrair vários tipos de informação. Um dos tipos de informação que pode ser extraída destes tipos de bancos de dados são as regras de associação que consistem em relacionamentos ou dependências importantes entre itens tal que a presença de alguns itens em uma transação irá implicar a presença de outros itens na mesma transação. Neste trabalho são aplicadas técnicas de descoberta de conhecimento na área do comércio varejista de confecção. Foram detectadas algumas peculiaridades dos bancos de dados desta área sendo proposto um novo algoritmo para melhorar o desempenho da tarefa de extração de regras de associação. Para a validação dos resultados apresentados pelo algoritmo foi desenvolvido o protótipo de uma ferramenta para extração de regras de associação. Foram realizados experimentos com bancos de dados reais de uma empresa da área de comércio varejista de confecção para análise de desempenho do algoritmo.

This work is about the organizations guided to attend the clients/customers in all aspects focusing their characteristics, needs and expectations and that do their best to produce goods or do services which can permanently increase their clients' satisfactions. To reach this aim has been the challenge of their managers and administrators who work to make them be considered as state-of-the-art by other organizations and their clients or customers. Many different strategies have been taken to achieve it; since having the focus on the process , then on the products, and more recently on the clients/customers, meaning that their satisfaction has turned to be their new target; as their are the ones who will rate or evaluate their quality. This work is more especifically about the organizations in the make-up and beauty products retail market which carry out researches with the customers of stores, managers and members of their demonstration and sales teams. This research identifies the attributes the customers/clients appreciate most in the stores and how hard their managers and business owners work to satisfy their needs and expectations, showing how far they follow the principles of the organizations guided to clients/customers. This study shows the results of an exploratory-descriptive research that aimed to identify the latent dimensions of communication, as well as finding relations between such dimensions and organizational image. The sample came to a total of 267 respondents, being 89 managers or owners and 178 salespeople of clothing and footwear stores that are situated in the main five shopping centers located in Natal, capital of Rio Grande do Norte. The collection of the data was made by the use of two structuralized and validated instruments, being the answers measured in the likert scale of 6 points. For the measurement of communication it was used the instrument developed by Downs and Hazen (2002), made up of 8 latent dimensions and 32 indicators. For the image it was used the model of Mael and Ashforth (1992) that contains 5 indicators. The analysis of the data was made through of the use of statistical techniques of factorial analysis and structural equations modeling. The results of the factorial analysis demonstrated communication as being formed by five latent dimensions. The modeling, on the other hand, demonstrated to exist positive relations between communication and organizational image, whose results revealed that the image is influenced by the communication with the supervisor, by the organizational integration and as being stronger explained by the vertical communication

This work studies the territorial dynamics of the trade modern retailer in the North Zone of Natal/RN, undertaken by the expansion of that following of the tertiary section in the researched space. For so much, we accomplished bibliographical and documental research during whole the process of construction of the work and the field research based close to in interviews the responsible for the establishments of the modern retail and application of questionnaires with the residents and consumers of the area in subject. Leaving of the understanding that the territory is used by the society producing the movement of capitalist reproduction in the places, we inferred that the expansion of the modern retail in the North Zone has been promoting a new dynamics in your territory, fact that has been valuing the space and attracted investors to the place. Therefore, we organized the study in this dissertation in three chapters: the first, "North Zone: use and occupation of the soil ", brings us the process of historical and social formation of the North Zone inserted in the context of the urban expansion of Natal; the second chapter, " Expansion of the tertiary section: the growth of the modern retail trade in the North Zone", makes direct reference to the tertiary section and the expansion of the I trade modern retailer; and finally, the third surrender, " The territorial dynamics and the modern retail trade in the North Zone of Natal", in which we expose all the results of the field research, looking for to understand the territorial dynamics that the expansion of the modern retail trade has been producing in the study area

One of the existing business models is the family business. This paper deals with the structure of family businesses. With the purpose to analyzing the input and output processes of goods, and management behavior in decision-making, looking for the professionalization of the family business administration. This paper is a case study in a construction materials shop, with an applied research due to their nature, according to his purpose takes the characteristic of exploratory research, using interviews, observation and analysis of company data. During the analysis of processes in the company were noted some shortcomings. Given this fact, made the comparison with the theories found, proposals were generated improvements to be accomplished within the company structure
